First Out of Town Trip

This weekend we went to the Celtic Festival in Sherwood Forest for Chris' birthday :) It was about 2 hours away from home so I was a little anxious of how Gillian would do in the carand out in the heat all day, but she did awesome! She played a little bit then napped on the way there. It was very hot out there, but she kept herself cool playing with my ice cold water bottle and we also soaked a cloth diaper with cool water and draped it over her. She only whined once and that was for naptime. She fell asleep on her own with no whining for her second nap. She loved looking at everything around her! She heard bagpipes, people singing, lots of cheering, and tons of laughter. It was a good day :) She came home filthy though because I slathered her with sunblock and it was a breezy day; breeze picked up dirt and it stuck to every inch of Gillian LOL On the way back, Gillian slept pretty much the whole way. I am so proud of her!  Here are a few pictures of our family trip!
