My little pumpkin did so well today :) While I was in surgery for stupid kidney stones, Chris took Gillian to her doctor's appointment :( I think I was more worried about her shots than my surgery, but she did very well. Chris said she only cried for 30 seconds then was happy again. Didn't cry on the way home at all, played with Daddy at home, then fell asleep on her swing. Thanks to the "give her tylenol before you go" advice! It really helped. She didn't start crying over soreness until about an hour ago, but she finally fell asleep with Daddy again while I pumped to dump anything I received from the hospital. My poor baby :( Still giving her tylenol (well heb brand, tylenol was recalled again). Anyway, she is now 11 pounds and 22.5" long! She's getting bigger and bigger :) I will post pictures later.
*Gillian you are such a big girl. I'm so glad you didn't cry too much. I think it would've broken my heart to know you were so upset and I couldn't be there, but you did so well. Now you are pretty upset, but I'm here to try to make you feel better. I think you're little legs got sore because you were sleeping so long, they stiffened up :( But you are sleeping on Daddy's chest right now and seem to be ok. I'll be right here when you wake up munchkin! Love you!

I have never blogged before, but a friend showed me how this could be a nice way for us and our future baby to look back and see how our family started. *Ok Baby, Mommy's never done this before so give her a break when you read this 12 years from now! Let's start blogging!

My goodness...
(This blog has been a pain in my butt, not letting me upload my pics, so this is being posted almost a week late sorry!) It has been way too long. Gillian Rosalie will be 8 weeks tomorrow (Fri July 22nd 2011). Being a new mom is very time consuming even though all I do all day is feed, change, and put a baby to sleep :) Parenthood has been very exciting and very exhausting. I love every minute of it, even the stressful times. Gillian has been a very demanding and vocal little girl these last 8 weeks. She takes up every minute of my time. My poor baby has been having a lot of issues with her tummy. She is very gassy and has a hard time going potty, but it has gotten a lot better. Gas drops and colic calm (an all natural remedy) have helped her a lot. When she is not in pain, she's a very alert and happy little girl. She likes to look around and stare at you. I swear she can beat anyone at a staring contest lol she never blinks! She smiles and coos now! She's tried to laugh a few times, it comes out as a squeal lol One time though when she was asleep she did let out a little laugh and it was the cutest thing ever! I called Chris right away lol She has been practicing tummy time on a boppy and doing great! She can hold her head up for quite some time now :) She has seen so many new faces and experienced quite a few things these last 8 weeks so this may be the longest blog ever lol My little monkey is growing so fast and doing so well, I'm so proud of her. Let's see if I can post these pictures now:
Agh! This thing is driving me nuts! Pictures are a pain to upload so only the first 9 days are up. I have TONS of pictures, but don't worry, I'll only post one or two from each day LOL I'll post more soon, I hope!
Gillian Rosalie,
Hi my beautiful little girl! Man these last two months have been the busiest of my life! I don't know how something so tiny can suck so much eneergy out of me LOL I can't imagine what it will be like when you actually start running around :) We have had a few rough days, but we get through it together. We both miss Daddy very much when he's at work, but we get by. You have grown and changed so much already. I miss my itty bitty baby, but I'm so excited to see you smiling and "talking" to us. You do so well on tummy time. At first you hated it, but I found that it's easier for you on your boppy, it lets you get a better view of the things around you. So many people have come to see you. Your Abuelito, your Tia Erika, Gram, Papa, Nina Jessy, Tio Jerry, and your cousins Savanna, Cheyenne, Dakota, and Phoenix all came to visit you. Of course your Abuelita was there to watch you come into this world, your Aunt Sherri, Tio Jorge, and Titi were in the waiting room along with your cousins Georgie, Jasmine, and Kaland. Everyone is so happy that you are here and they all love you very much! So far you have been to your Aunt Sherri's, Aunt Retta's, Applebee's to visit Mommy's friends, Peter Piper to visit Daddy, Wal-Mart for pictures, to see your doctor of course, to our pool, and just last week you went to the Guadalupe River State Park. You have gone swimming twice! Both times you were asleep LOL When you did wake up in the pool, you were kicking and kicking, it was very cute. It seems like you're going to like the water! Oh my goodness so much has happened, but basically you have been eating, crying, pooping, and sleeping. Only in the last couple of weeks have you started cooing and laughing, and doing less and less crying :) I can't wait to watch you reach your other milestones Gillian, every day is a gift. I love you so much and I can't wait to see what you're going to do next! I love you my little pumpkin!
Love,
Mommy
