I have never blogged before, but a friend showed me how this could be a nice way for us and our future baby to look back and see how our family started. *Ok Baby, Mommy's never done this before so give her a break when you read this 12 years from now! Let's start blogging!

36 weeks and 1 day Ultrasound and VENT
Yesterday we had our last ultrasound to guess Baby Girl's weight. She had a hard time measuring her head because "she's waaaaayyyyy down there, but I think I can get it", as she pushed around my pubic bone, ouch! Then she measured her waist, then femur, and voila! "She's weighing in at 6 pounds exactly." Yay! Well, I know these things can be off by a pound or two, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. She still has some more weight to gain, but I'm not as nervous as I was before. I really don't care how big she is, I just want to be able to deliver her without stressing her out. Everyone kept saying how huge I was, even strangers, and asking if I was having twins, and "oh I don't remember being that big" (yeah, it's because you were already fat to begin with and you still are, at least MY belly will go away), and "oh you're having a ten pounder". EEEEERRRRRRR!!!! Maybe it's my hormones, but I'm getting tired of being told how big I am especially by people I don't even know! They make me feel like a cow and then I get teary-eyed and Chris has to comfort me reassuring me I'm not fat. Even on the days I feel pretty and "little" someone has to ruin it. We went to our last childbirth class and a nurse that had brought down a new mom on a wheelchair asked me if I needed the wheelchair and then proceeded to tell me that I was all smiles so I must not be in that much pain yet. I have 4 weeks to go, but apparently I look like I'm going to pop any minute. I can't imagine the looks and comments I will get if the baby waits 4 more weeks. I must be very emotional because I feel like crying just remembering all this. I'd rather stay home where my husband just holds me and rubs my belly lovingly. I'm measuring exactly what I should be measuring, her heart rate is perfect, she's healthy and happy from what I can tell, and she's measuring exactly what she should be so I shouldn't care what other people tell me, but it's hard not to get my feelings hurt. I've always loved my belly and pregnant body and was very proud of it, and I still am. It's just when I go out and I get the stares and comments that my self-esteem gets knocked down a notch. But then when I get home and sit down to relax my baby girl wiggles around (sometimes it's painful lol) and she puts a huge smile on my face. Then I get teary-eyed because I know that soon I will be able to hold this little girl that Chris and I created and I carried in my belly this whole time. At that moment nothing else matters but her health and happiness. Dang hormones!!!! I'm a sobbing mess! LoL Soooo screw you strangers that think I'm huge and having a litter! It's MY body, she's MY baby, and she's healthy! So don't worry about what doesn't concern you jerks!!!! Keep your dang comments to yourselves!!!

Last Week and Easter
* Hi Baby Girl! Here are a few things that happened last week. Mommy actually had some energy and felt pretty so she curled her hair and did her makeup. Your Titi came to help paint your room, but we didn't get much done because there was so much measuring to do. You dropped! You are definitely lower in Mommy's belly which means Mommy gets to pee even more often now. Mommy woke up with a horrible UTI on Saturday and was in pain all day and night Saturday, but Easter morning I felt so much better after the antibiotics kicked in. It was Earth Day on Friday and Lowe's was giving away free trees the next day, so since Mommy was awake so early she went to go get a tree. The guy was very nice and said to take two, one for me and one for you! So you got your own little tree! We went to the Lowe's by Daddy's work and picked up one more, so we each have a tree that Daddy is going to plant in a box right now (as soon as he's done building it, you can hear Daddy's saw and hammer right now) and we can watch it grow as we watch you grow. Daddy said the "twig" was as long as you are right about now LoL The trees are blue spruce trees, so like Christmas trees. I can't wait until they are big enough (and you are old enough) to decorate them. Saturday your Tia Adriana came to visit us and hang out for a bit. She can't wait for you to come out. On Sunday, Daddy was off so we went to this new huge flea market and walked the whole thing! Mommy's feet were really fluffy by the end of the trip! There was lots of food and music and even a few kiddie rides! I can't wait until youre big enough to go on rides! There as a carousel so Mommy will definitely take you on that as soon as possible :) I bought you 3 ridiculously adorable headbands! You may hate them, Daddy doesn't like them LoL, but I LOVE them! They might be bigger than your head, but you are going to look precious! Don't hate me when you're older! We also found a rocking horse for you! Mommy got a great deal on it and I love it! I can't wait for you to be able to play with it. Finally we ended the week by going to your Tio Jorge and Tia Sherri's house to spend Easter with them and your cousins. Tia Sherri and I hid the eggs while Daddy and your Tio Jorge stayed inside and made sure Georgie, Jasmine, and Kaland didn't peek. We had fun watching them look for eggs and next year you will be big enough to look for eggs, too. After that we had dinner and dessert, then cleaned up. Your Tia Sherri got you a little Easter bunny for Easter :) It's very cute! You and I bought your cousins some wood puzzles that Daddy and Mommy helped them put together. Georgie did most of his by himself :) After that it was time to come home and go to bed! Mommy was so tired! She's not used to waking up at 8 in the morning, but that's going to change real soon :) I love you my little Bunny Foofoo! And although I can tell you're running out of room in there and Mommy wakes up sore all over, I still want you to take your time. I may complain every now and then, but I can tough it out!!! ♥♥♥

34 weeks 5 days Doc's Appt.
We had our doc's appointment yesterday. Everything still looks and sounds good. She felt my belly and is pretty sure she's head down. We have our ultrasound next Thursday to make sure she is head down and to guesstimate how big she is. I'm excited and nervous! I can't wait to see her and see how much she has grown, it's been a whole month since her 3D pics! Doctor says she's probably about 5 to 6 pounds right now and if she makes it until our duedate she will probably be about 7.5! A big baby girl! I really don't care how much she weighs, I just want her to be able to fit into some of the cute newborn clothes I have LoL Even if it's just for a day! :D I'm so excited and nervous!
We got a few things done yesterday. We fixed all the broken boards on our fence in the backyard so Black Dog can't jump out. We spread 10 bags of cedar mulch in the dog run to get rid of the stupid fleas my babies have been covered with (even though we've sprayed their dog run with flea killer, bathed them in flea shampoo, dipped them, put flea collars, AND put the flea drops). Those things will not leave them alone! Hopefully in a couple of weeks they will be gone. We've also been putting garlic in their food, so that should help. Black Dog spent his first night outside last night and he did great! Chris made a rack to put all the stuff in the backyard on (and waterhose so Augustus doesn't chew through it AGAIN), so now our little patio is not cluttered, just needs to be washed. Since we were outside in the hot sun all day, I was too exhausted and sleepy to sit through our 3 hour birthing class so we stayed home. This morning I got up and started on the kitchen. I'm about halfway done, but I started cramping so Baby and I sat down to eat some cheerios and write on our blog :) I was washing dishes while the dishes in the dishwasher were washing. Wow! Now try and say that 3 times fast! Hehe! I hate putting big bowls and mostly my baking stuff in the dishwasher, takes up too much room. It's faster and easier to wash by hand. But anyway, I feel pretty good today :D I'm excited that I'm getting some things done. It's nice to have some energy even though I'm starting to feel like it's nap time LoL I've only been up for 3.5 hours, but maybe if I take a 1 hour nap I'll be able to go for another 3.5. By that time Chris will be getting home and we can eat and nap together ♥ Aw! Ok, definitely time to nap, nite!
* Hi my beautiful little girl! You have been so active and Daddy's hand is on Mommy's belly the whole time. Although he's usually saying "eeewww" or "gross", he always has a smile on his face. Mommy and Daddy are working overtime this week to get your room done! Your Titi might come help this week, too.
Sunday was your Tia Sherri's birthday and we went out to eat. You and I made her an awesome white cake with buttercream and chocolate chunks in between the layers, then the cake was covered in ganache, we dipped strawberries in chocolate and drizzled them with red chocolate and put little white chocolate hearts on them. It was delicious! Mommy tried filling some little chocolate cups with icecream, but didn't have enough time to let the icecream freeze all the way so they melted :( but it was still good!
I can't wait until you're old enough to help Mommy decorate cakes. It will be fun, I think you will really like it.
I love you my little monkey! I can't wait to see you next Thursday and when you come out! Please take your time LoL Mommy has a lot to do! I love you!

Hospital Visit Today
![]() |
| Nice gown! LoL |
I've been having menstrual-like cramps for a few days now so I called the doctor's office to make sure it was normal. She said it was probably contractions, but that she would have the nurse call me back. Four hours later they still hadn't called, I figured it wasn't a big deal so I picked up a shift at work. Of course as soon as I pick up a shift, they call, I miss the call, realize it an hour later, call back, and she says it's probably just round ligament pain, but the doctor wants you to go to L&D to make sure you're not in labor and to check fetal movement. OK, so it's 4:45, Chris gets off at 5, I wait for him, lots of traffic (feeling perfectly fine by this point by the way), finally gets home, then we leave. Arrive at hospital, get naked, wear gown that shows my butt (hehe), carefully walk from bathroom to my area in triage and hide under the sheets, wait, wait some more, wait some more, nurse shows up, asks me questions like does chris beat me lol "yes he does" j/k :) then hooks me up to monitors, contractions and fetal heart rate, two contractions right away apparently (didn't even feel the first one), then I finally get my hubby to come sit with me. She tells me if I have more than 6 in an hour then I will get my cervix checked to see if I'm dilating. Poor Chris was so sleepy and tired, he had a long horrible day at work. I was starving and couldn't eat anything in case they were labor contractions. I knew we would be there for a while so I went prepared with my IQ puzzles :) Fetal heart rate monitor is such a pain, apparently sometimes my little pumpkin didn't have a heart rate or it was like 200. Crazy thing caused so much anxiety so I focused on my puzzles instead. I watched the little paper print out my contractions, I could've sworn I only had 4, but apparently I was having a lot more than 6 in an hour 30-40 seconds long, I just didn't feel them all. I was definitely there for more than an hour. Cervix checked (worse feeling ever, I felt so violated), tight and firm :) Very good news! My little girl isn't planning on coming out soon and that makes us happy. We are not ready lol, still have so much to do. Doctor said I was fine, but wanted to give me a muscle relaxer to relax my uterus and give me a break. The nurse told me it was more of a comfort thing, but I refused. I wasn't in any real pain. I didn't feel the majority of them and the ones I did were just like mild menstrual cramps, nothing unbearable. I don't want to take anything unless it is absolutely necessary. Since everything else looked good, I was allowed to go home, but if they got worse or regular then to come back. It was about 10 o'clock by this point and I was STARVING! Good thing Hooters is right down the street :D On our way to Hooters I called my mom to let her know. I didn't want to panic anyone so I didn't want to call until I knew what was going on. Thankfully everything is ok!
* Baby Girl I'm so glad you decided not to come out today :) Mommy and Daddy still have a lot to do, not to mention you do, too! Keep working at those lungs, brain and immune system :) Mommy didn't expect to go to the hospital today, she just called the doc and asked a little question, just looking for some reassurance that it was normal. Mommy's body is just preparing itself for your big day. You don't like monitors, you shy away from them or kick them :) I definitely think you will be a little soccer player lol We love you little munchkin! Abuelita is making plans to be here in the beginning of May, so wait for her to get here, ok? Mommy's going to bed now, we had a long day today mijita! Te quiero!

Doc's appointment yesterday
This was our third biweekly visit and everything looks great :) Baby's heartrate is 136, a little bit lower than 2 weeks ago, but doc said it's normal. I'm measuring exactly 32 weeks and I've only gained 21 pounds so far :) Getting those lovely stretchmarks at the bottom of my belly :( But I just have to remind myself that what I will be getting in the end will totally be worth it :) I will be 33 weeks tomorrow (Agh!) and in 2-3 weeks we will get to see our Baby Girl one last time before she decides to enter this world. Hopefully she will still be head down and ready to go. Apparently she can still flip flop right now, I don't know how she still has room in there! I love the way it feels when she moves a foot or hand against my belly, but not so much when her feetsies push against my diaphraghm and roll around in my ribs :) Very uncomfortable yet funny feeling.
Apparently I've been getting braxton hicks for a while, I just didn't notice since it didn't feel anything like the first one I had. I only get them when I've been on my feet all day, usually working at Applebees. Thankfully, everyone at work is supportive and very helpful so I actually get to sit down when I need to. I am no longer at the daycare, bending over to pick up babies from the floor started putting a lot of strain on my back and lower belly. So now I have plenty of time to get things ready for my little girl! We had a busy day yesterday, but today I can get started on cleaning and doing some more painting! Yay!
We started our childbirth preparation classes yesterday and oh my God was Chris right when he said he hates classroom settings! LoL I swear we will be kicked out before we get to finish because he is always making me laugh! LOL I'm even laughing as I am typing this! He's so dumb! ("I'm not dumb! I'm funny," says Chris) I was CRYING because I was laughing so hard AND I couldn't laugh outloud! It was a good thing the lights were off and everyone was paying attention to the film and not us. Even during the relaxation exercises I couldn't breathe "naturally" because he was being a dork. Everyone else is leaning on their husbands all lovey-dovey and my husband is whispering funny things in my ears making me cover my mouth so I wouldn't make any noise. I almost had to walk out of the room a few times (*Daddy will make you laugh, but at the worst times!). It was fun though, I enjoyed it. There were only 3 other couples and they seem pretty nice. I hope next week I can actually do the breathing techniques without laughing :)
*Hello my Little Girl! Mommy and Daddy got to hear your heartbeat yesterday and it's great to know you are doing so good in there :) Mommy has a shopping problem....she can't help but buy all the cute clothes she sees! :D Daddy buys stuff for your room. He found a lamp that would make a perfect bob-omb LoL When you get older you will know what that is :) We have been able to paint some more stuff on that one wall, Mommy thinks it's time to move onto the next one after we finish these few things, but Daddy wants to put more. You're Daddy is nuts! He wants to make you a rocking horse, but instead of a horse, it would be Yoshi, the dinosaur. Mommy really wants just a regular horse! We will see what happens LoL Mommy is going to try to bust her booty at work so she can buy you wood flooring. It will look nice in your room :) It looks like we have everything we need for your room as far as furniture goes. We still need to find some curtains that will look pretty until you start crawling around and then Mommy will have to tie them up high so you don't pull everything down on you. Painting and putting in the new floor will be our big projects to finish in the next few weeks. I'd like to have your room done by the end of April so we can start moving in all your furniture. I am soooo excited! Mommy has a long list of things to do today! Let's see how many we can get done together. Daddy is at work now so it will be just me and you until late tonight. What do you want to do first??? :) Love you!
