4 months!

4 months!

My little girl is 4 months now. It seems time has slown down :) I was feeling like time was flying by, but now it seems like it's slowing down and I'm not complaining :) I enjoy every minute with this cutie pie! She wakes up with a gorgeous smile on her face every morning that I absolutely LOVE! I love cuddling with her in bed, talking, playing, and reading a story as we lazily lie in bed every morning. She has learned to love tummy time and she is currently desperately trying to roll over onto her tummy on her own. She's done it once so far....I was asleep when she did it :( but Daddy got to see it. He says it was in slow motion LOL She loves to stand more and more and we even bought her an exersaucer so she can stand and play! So far she only likes being in it for 5-10 minutes at a time, but I'm sure she will love being in it as soon as she gets better control of her little hands and legs. She loves to grab things (especially my hair)and stick them in her mouth. Her favortie toys right now are a baby Einstein's turtle that plays music and an O ball. She smiles at her turtle every time she sees him and she loves holding on to her ball and sticking her tongue through the holes and gnaw on it :) She laughs when I tickle her and she screams when she's mad at me or wants my attention LOL She's been playing with new sounds and figured out she can make gurgle sound in the back of her throat. She's trying to figure out how to blow raspberries :) can't wait til she gets that one....I will have spit all over my face, but it will still be cute and funny LOL Gillian is sort of on a schedule, we are still working on it. So far she has gone about a week going to bed at around the same time, 8-9pm and wakes up about 3 times at night to eat. Well, 2-3 night time feedings and one super early morning one, depending on what time she went to bed. Since she no longer fits in her moses basket, the playpen with the bassinet has been moved upstairs into our room. She starts off in there and seems to end up in bed with us almost every morning. I try my best to put her back in her bed after eating, but to be honest I totally knock out while she is eating and she just ends up staying in bed with me. This week's goal is to put her back in bed, but we will see LOL OMG and she moves around so much now that she actually takes up the entire bed LOL Here are some pictures I took of my beautiful munchkin on her 4 month birthday! ♥♥♥

I love you so much! I love every minute I've had with you, but I love this age! You are so cute and funny! You are so playful and sweet. Everything makes you smile and you hardly ever cry :) I get so excited watching you do things for the first time, I just love watching you learn. I'm trying to let you learn how to fall asleep on your own and it breaks my heart because I love when you fall asleep in my arms, your little head on my chest. And even though it sucks for Daddy, I love knowing that I can always comfort you and that you want me when you're upset. I worked so hard these last few months to make sure you knew I was here to protect you and comfort you. We had long nights filled with lots of crying, but now as soon as you see me or feel me you get so happy and calm/relaxed and it makes me feel so good. I guess I must be doing something right :) At night when it's time for bed and you are laying in your bassinet next to the bed, I always reach over and put my hand on your chest and you always grab on tight with both your little hands and pull me close and you won't let go until you doze off :) I love being needed and I love being your comfort and it hurts knowing that soon you will need to go to sleep on your own and I will have to let you. That doesn't mean I'm just going to throw you in your crib and say 'k, goodnight see ya in the morning!' LOL We will do this slowly for both of us :) Mommy's already missing lots of things, but I'm looking forward to all the new things. I love you little monkey. I wish you could stay small forever. I love you, I just can't seem to say it enough....♥♥♥
