I am so excited that after 10 years we will finally be starting our family. I love my husband Chris very much and I don't know where I would be without him. I found out on September 19th, 2010 after a full day of roller coasters and running in the rain with my family at SeaWorld that God had decided to surprise me with the gift of life. Chris has been there since day one to support me and take care of us. I couldn't have asked for a better partner to share this amazing journey with!
I am currently 16 weeks and 2 days and my estimated due date is May 25th 2011. I didn't have severe morning sickness like the majority of women do, in fact I only threw up once, but was ridiculously bloated during my whole first trimester. I started getting nausea coming in to my second trimester and some smells make me gag (Chris likes to make fun of me), but I'm good for the most part. No cravings that I've noticed. I can eat everything. I haven't gained any weight (whoohoo!!!), but my clothes doesn't seem to fit anymore (aw!). I am exhausted all of the time, I'm still waiting for that new burst of energy to hit, but it doesn't look like it's coming any time soon (I think I've been yawning this whole time and it's barely noon!!!). My belly button has stretched out and I think it looks funky. I'm not used to being able to stick my ENTIRE thumb in my belly button! LOL I eat healthy for the most part (Chris tries to make sure I don't eat any junk food, caffeine, and we try to stay away from food dyes :D ). Of course I give in every now and then. This has so far been a pretty good pregnancy. Besides being tired all the time, there is really nothing to complain about :)
Our families are pretty excited. My mom and dad are very happy. My brother, Jorge, and my sister-in-law, Sherri, are excited to finally be an uncle and aunt and my sister, Erika, is excited too. Chris' parents, siblings (Jessy, Ben, and Jackie), and brother-in-laws (Jerry and Ricky) are all very happy, too. Although the majority of them live 600 miles away, I know our Baby will know what it's like to be loved. Oh! And all the cousins (Georgie, Jasmine, Kaland, Savannah, Cheyenne, Dakota, Phoenix, and Casandra) are all looking forward to having a new cousin! Not to mention the entire Gutierrez,Dominguez, Flores, and Magdaleno families. We are very blessed to have such a supportive family. Thank you!!!!
*Well Baby, I'm glad we've made it this far. We are officially out of the danger zone, I got to see your pretty little tiny body a couple times and hear that wonderful swooshing sound your tiny heart makes. You wouldn't stop bouncing around when they were trying to measure your head during the sonogram LOL I wonder if that means you are going to constantly be on the move, keeping Mommy on her toes. I wouldn't mind that at all. I'm looking forward to raising you =) Your ninas are going to be your Tia Erika and your Tia Jessy, but you can just call them Nina, I'm sure they will love that. Mommy and Daddy are going to speak to you in English and Spanish with the hopes that you will become fluent in both. I can't wait to see you! Actually, right now I can't wait to FEEL you! I'm waiting to be able to feel you wiggling around in there! I love you so much already! And I'm going to hug you and squeeze you and give you tons of kisses even if you don't want them! =D Ok, ok, I'll stop if you start crying. But seriously since we found out you were coming everything has changed. There is so much more love in our house and I can't even begin to imagine how much more there will be when you actually come into this world. Te quiero mucho nene!
