I can't wait!!!

* So Daddy knows what you are :D but his face is not giving anything away! He's great at keeping secrets! The ultrasound tech was also very es-sneaky sneaky! I was looking the whole time and I have no idea when or how she saw it! :D You are perfect right now! You're right on schedule and your little face is so cute! I can't believe how much you've grown! Your heart rate today was 144, you weigh 9 oz, and you're about 6 inches long from your head to your booty. Also, I am 100% sure now that those little flutters I feel is definitely you!!!! I've been feeling them for a few weeks now, especially when I put music on my belly so you can hear it, but I wasn't sure. Although I was 95%  sure I still thought it was all in my head, but nope! It's you, my little pumpkin! You like the music that plays on your monkey from Nina Erika and Tio Eddy! I'm so happy that I got to see you again! We are just about half way there, then I will get to hold you in my arms! I hope you like it in there right now, Daddy makes sure you get enough healthy food :) and Mommy reads to you at night. I hope you like the stories! I love you my sweet baby! Only 46 more hours to go, then I will know what you are, little monkey!!!

So Excited!!!!!

OR

AAAAGGGHHHH!!!! I'm soooo excited! I totally thought my ultrasound was on Thursday but it's on Wednesday! :D So Chris will know what the baby is going to be! Yay! I hope the baby cooperates! I'm making sure Chris brings his new LED head flashlight thing so we can hopefully shine it on my belly and see if the baby moves around, hehe! I can't wait to find out on the very first few seconds of the new year what we will be having! I was so sure it's a boy, but now I don't know! AAAAGGGHHHH!!!!!!! LOL

* Please cooperate with us Wednesday! Daddy is dying to know what you are even though he's 100% sure that you are a little boy! But if you're a little princess I promise you are going to melt his heart! Love you!!!!

Baby's First Christmas!

LED Head-Flashlight thing from the Baby, He he!

Well, this was our first Christmas as soon-to-be parents and it was very exciting! I loved giving Chris a present from the Baby and I loved involving the Baby in everything we did. I can't wait until next year when he or she will be 6 months old and enjoying all the Christmas lights and activities with us! My sister will also hopefully be able to come visit, then everything will be perfect :) I'm grateful to have my parents here this weekend, I love them very much! This has by far been the best Christmas ever since Chris proposed to me (well, we celebrated Christmas on the 26th that year LoL). I always try to explain to people how it doesn't matter how many gifts you get or how much money you spend. All that matters is that you are around the people you love (even though some were far away, you were still with us in spirit)(* Always remember that). We are so very grateful to have such a loving and supportive family, but most of all, grateful for all the little (and big LoL) surprises in life.

Merry Christmas!!!!

* Well Baby, you had you first Christmas yesterday and guess what! You got all the Christmas presents!  LOL Everyone is so excited  that you are coming that no one could wait until next year. See? Everyone loves you so much already!

First of all, Mommy got you your first stuffed animal a month or so back. A little monkey and a little bear:

Your Nina Jessy gave you a little giraffe to match the monkey I got for you:

Tu Abuelita gave you a nice, super soft blanket! You will love it! And this little card with a grandma and grandchildren:

Your Nina Erika and Tio Eddy gave you a cute little monkey from Build-a-Bear that has a beating heart and plays a lullaby. You wiggle around when I put his hand on my belly and play it for you.

Your Tio Jorge and Tia Sherri gave Mommy a carrier so she can carry you close to her heart when you are born and when we go to SeaWorld, you're going to love it there! Georgie, Jasmine, and Kaland gave you a frog puppet that ribbits:

But that doesn't mean you should expect tons of presents every year, remember that it's all about spending time with loved ones. Also, be grateful for everything that you are given; remember that not everyone gets to have a Christmas. ¡I love you Baby, te quiero mucho, mucho! Y todos los demas tambien. Sigue creciendo y no salgas hasta que estes listo. ¡Todos te vamos a estar esperando! ¡Te quiero mucho Nene!

Con mucho amor y cariño,
   Mamá

Lunar Eclipse

Tonight there will be a full lunar eclipse! Very exciting, I love eclipses! But my mother-in-law called and text me to make sure I wore 2 safety pins on my blouse and did not go outside to see the eclipse :(   Crazy old wives tales! BUT here I am, inside, wearing my 2 safety pins on my belly LOL I feel a little ridiculous, but at the same time it's fun to have fun being pregnant, old wives tales and all.

I've tried the ring on a string over your belly to tell the sex (too soon I guess, it didn't go anywhere LOL), chinese gender calendar (says it's a boy), and of course all the "quizzes" to see what gender it will be. But we will not have to wait long for that! Well, I will, but not Chris. He will be finding out next Thursday (hopefully, if Baby cooperates), if we will be adding a handsome little boy to the family or a precious little girl! Of course I don't care either way, I just want my Baby to be healthy. I kinda wish there were two in there, one of each, so we can be done :D

Now I haven't posted pictures of my belly because I just look fat, but here is my belly after dinner a day before 17 weeks. It looked the same the next morning so I guess I can't blame it on dinner :)

I'm very excited to start seeing some roundness and grateful to hear the Baby's heart beat on Thursday. So far everything looks good and I couldn't be happier! I can't believe we are almost half way there! AAAGGHHH!!! :D

*Hi Baby! Your crazy Gram is making sure I wear 2 safety pins during the eclipse so nothing will happen to you :) And I'm not allowed to look at it either! Which is not fair since the last full lunar eclipse was a few hundred years ago. But I guess I can watch it online just for you. Actually to be honest with you, Mommy will probably be sleeping because she's had really bad allergies and didn't get much sleep last night from so much coughing. I'm sorry if I kept you up too. I'm sure it feels like an earthquake in there when I cough or sneeze. But anyway, I'm glad you are doing great in there and I will see you on the 29th! Don't be shy! Daddy wants to know what you are! Oh and it's killing your Nina Erika to find out too! But she will have to wait LOL (Sorry Sister!) Mommy wants to wait until her baby shower to find out what you are, but I'm starting to think I want Daddy to tell me. It's more special that way. Sorry! Mommy gets lovey dovey with Daddy! You'll get used to it! I can't wait to see you, until then keep growing and keep doing what you're supposed to be doing! I love you pumpkin pie!

We're having a Baby!!!

I am so excited that after 10 years we will finally be starting our family. I love my husband Chris very much and I don't know where I would be without him. I found out on September 19th, 2010 after a full day of roller coasters and running in the rain with my family at SeaWorld that God had decided to surprise me with the gift of life. Chris has been there since day one to support me and take care of us. I couldn't have asked for a better partner to share this amazing journey with!
I am currently 16 weeks and 2 days and my estimated due date is May 25th 2011. I didn't have severe morning sickness like the majority of women do, in fact I only threw up once, but was ridiculously bloated during my whole first trimester. I started getting nausea coming in to my second trimester and some smells make me gag (Chris likes to make fun of me), but I'm good for the most part. No cravings that I've noticed. I can eat everything. I haven't gained any weight (whoohoo!!!), but my clothes doesn't seem to fit anymore (aw!). I am exhausted all of the time, I'm still waiting for that new burst of energy to hit, but it doesn't look like it's coming any time soon (I think I've been yawning this whole time and it's barely noon!!!). My belly button has stretched out and I think it looks funky. I'm not used to being able to stick my ENTIRE thumb in my belly button! LOL I eat healthy for the most part (Chris tries to make sure I don't eat any junk food, caffeine, and we try to stay away from food dyes :D ). Of course I give in every now and then. This has so far been a pretty good pregnancy. Besides being tired all the time, there is really nothing to complain about :)
Our families are pretty excited. My mom and dad are very happy. My brother, Jorge, and my sister-in-law, Sherri, are excited to finally be an uncle and aunt and my sister, Erika, is excited too. Chris' parents, siblings (Jessy, Ben, and Jackie), and brother-in-laws (Jerry and Ricky) are all very happy, too. Although the majority of them live 600 miles away, I know our Baby will know what it's like to be loved. Oh! And all the cousins (Georgie, Jasmine, Kaland, Savannah, Cheyenne, Dakota, Phoenix, and Casandra) are all looking forward to having a new cousin! Not to mention the entire Gutierrez,Dominguez, Flores, and Magdaleno families. We are very blessed to have such a supportive family. Thank you!!!!
*Well Baby, I'm glad we've made it this far. We are officially out of the danger zone, I got to see your pretty little tiny body a couple times and hear that wonderful swooshing sound your tiny heart makes. You wouldn't stop bouncing around when they were trying to measure your head during the sonogram LOL I wonder if that means you are going to constantly be on the move, keeping Mommy on her toes. I wouldn't mind that at all. I'm looking forward to raising you =) Your ninas are going to be your Tia Erika and your Tia Jessy, but you can just call them Nina, I'm sure they will love that. Mommy and Daddy are going to speak to you in English and Spanish with the hopes that you will become fluent in both. I can't wait to see you! Actually, right now I can't wait to FEEL you! I'm waiting to be able to feel you wiggling around in there! I love you so much already! And I'm going to hug you and squeeze you and give you tons of kisses even if you don't want them! =D Ok, ok, I'll stop if you start crying. But seriously since we found out you were coming everything has changed. There is so much more love in our house and I can't even begin to imagine how much more there will be when you actually come into this world. Te quiero mucho nene!
