I saw my tummy moving today :)

22 weeks 1 day :)

Getting bigger! Yikes!

When I woke up this morning, I did what I always do, put on my stethoscope and listen for a heartbeat. As usual I heard nothing, just swooshing and gurgles, but my favorite part is when she kicks the stethoscope :) So, although I know I won't be able to hear her, I at least know I can bug her enough to show me she's OK. I do this every night before I go to bed and every morning when I wake up. A couple of nights ago after putting the stethoscope away I felt around my tummy as usual and this time I felt a nice kick! :D It startled me and I broke out laughing! I woke up Chris and told him to put his hand there and of course nothing! I could feel her inside, but Daddy couldn't feel her. Last night, same thing. This morning after I was done listening around, I propped my head up and just stared at my stomach until my eyes started crossing. Then I saw it! A jab and a wave LOL It was so cool and freaky looking at the same time! Again, I woke up Chris, "Babe, look!". He stared.......and she stopped! Eeeerrrr!!!! I told her she was making Mommy look like a liar! LOL I'm sooo excited that her kicks, jabs, and punches are getting stronger! It is the weirdest yet best feeling ever! A little uncomfortable sometimes, but totally worth the reassurance that she is doing great in there. I'll be 24 weeks this Wednesday. Sometimes time seems to fly by and other times it feels like I've been pregnant for ages. But although I'm anxious to see her, I'm enjoying being pregnant! Yyyyaaayyyy!!!

* Baby Girl, why won't you move for Daddy??? :) We will try again tonight! Te queremos mucho!!!!

*Oh my goodness little girl.....

your dogs are driving me CRAZY!!!! If they keep this up, you might not have puppies when you come into this world! LOL

Here are your weenies Augustus Gloop, Schatzi Pandora, and their baby Pretty Girl. Augustus will love you when you learn to throw his ball, Schatzi will just want to lay with you all day, and Pretty will be sniffing your mouth to see what you've eaten and ask if you'll share LoL If you're holding a toy, she will bark and bark until you throw it for her. You've already heard her bark so many times this week and probably have heard Mommy screaming her head off telling them to stop or get off the couch. You become very active when the puppies are inside, especially when Pretty starts barking. I hope she's not scaring you, but I think you will get used to all the noise soon enough.

Here is Augustus Gloop and Black Dog. Mommy found Black Dog and was not allowed to name him, so we just started calling him the big black dog, then black dog. When no one claimed him and when we did find him a home, Mommy cried and she couldn't give him away. So now he's part of our family and has been with us for a whole year now. You can play with him all you want, he doesn't care if you pull and tug at him. When you learn to talk, Black Dog will sit and shake for you. Other than running away all the time and constantly being in your way (I swear he sits in front of the cable box and doorways on purpose) he's a pretty good dog. 

All the puppies will love you, but you better be nice. No hitting the puppies because Mommy will spank your butt. If I tell you to stop and you don't listen, I don't want to hear you crying when the puppies snap at you :) But like I said, that's if I don't strangle them before you get here!

21 Weeks

Mommy feels HUGE at night!

We had our monthly doctor's appointment today. I'm glad to say everything is going well. Baby's heart rate was 148 today, the doctor had to chase her around to be able to find it :) I guess this baby IS always going to be on the move LoL Next appointment will include the glucose test and from what I hear it's very unpleasant. I don't know when I will get to see her again, but I hope I get to see her at least once more before her great debut. I also hope the sono tech was right and she is a girl, LOL, otherwise we are in for a very big surprise!

* Hi Pretty Baby! Although I can't wait to meet you, Mommy is happy she has a few more months to get things done. Let's see, we still need to do...EVERYTHING! :)  This month I've been having fun planning one of your showers with you Ninas, Gram, Abuelita, and Titi and I'm planning a little surprise for you that I hope you will appreciate when you're older. Your Daddy and I have been going over names the last few weeks. We still have a long way to go before we finally decide. I hope you love your name. We've been looking at furniture, trying to find something that will last through your teens (that is so scary, I don't want to think about that) and we have found a few pieces we like. I've been looking at baptismal gowns although I haven't decided if we are buying your dress or if I am going to make it. I started working on your cloth diapers and I'm hoping to get about ten done a month. I'm just not sure how many of each size to make. Your Titi and I tried listening for your heartbeat yesterday with Titi's stethoscope, but we couldn't hear it. We will be trying again next week though. I haven't done much this month, but everything I do seems to revolve around you already. Although I know you are there, it still feels like I'm in a dream until I feel you using my bladder as a jumping balloon :) I can't wait until Daddy can feel your movements, too. We love you so much! Half way there......

It is now midnight, so technically it is Wednesday January 5th and we are officially half way there! I can't believe how fast time has flown by, but at the same time it still feels like we have forever to go! I'm really happy to know what we are having, but my bank account disagrees with my decision! LoL I had to stop myself from shopping for all the cute little stuff I see because I know she's going to be getting a lot of cute clothes from everyone else. My mom has already told me that she doesn't care that I don't want her whole wardrobe in pink, she's going to buy her whatever she wants. My Spanish-speaking mom said "whatever!"
(* Abuelita is silly! Baby, she's going to drown you in pink!) LoL I've stuck to the other colors. I love that she will be a summer baby! So many bright and happy colors available! I LOVE YELLOW!!! It's such a happy color :) I am not a picky mom, secondhand stores and goodwill are my friends. So many cute and reusable clothes at a great price! My baby will be growing fast, so I don't think she will have time to ruin anything which means another mom can get some more use out of the clothes. Sharing is caring :D


Here are a few things my baby has now, mostly bought by me LoL :

I didn't buy all of this at once LoL I actually had four of these outfits before. I can never pass up clearance items! LoL

The outfit is a little curled up, but it has flowers and butterflies going across it. I love the peachy color. I'll have to sew a bonnet to go with it!

One of my absolute favorites! So she will be really tiny, but that doesn't mean we can't go to the pool to catch some rays! She'll be completely smothered in sunblock of course, but she will look super cute!

Too early for Christmas dresses??? I don't think so! LoL

Aw! I had to buy this one for Abuelito!

"Daddy's Little Cupcake", oh yeah I can see her already following him around everywhere. She will be the only kid in her elementary school that will be mechanically inclined LoL 

Theses are all presents from Nina Jessy and cousin Savannah. More cupcakes, butterflies, and monkeys! Thank you Nina and Nana!

* Baby, Mommy is having so much fun shopping for you! But she needs to stop spending money! LoL I did my practice run on a diaper for you with extra material I had lying around and it actually wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be. Don't worry, I'm not putting this one on you LoL I would never put those huge safety pins on you, hehe! I didn't stretch the elastic enough on one side,but the other side came out perfect!

Now I just need to find the right fabrics and a snap press and we will be good to go! I hope you like the diapers I make for you and I hope I can keep up and follow through! While I've been working on this Daddy has been looking on the Internet for more ideas for your room. He is very excited about your theme and I think you are going to have the coolest room ever. I think that even adults would want to have your room :) We love you so much! I hope you are enjoying the poems we read for you every night. Goodnight my sweet angel!

SOOOO IT'S A......

GIRL!!!!

New Year's Eve waiting for Daddy to get home!

 

I was extremely surprised! I was almost 100% sure it was a boy, but then again I've never been pregnant before so what do I know :)  It feels a little weird, I was in boy mode and was looking at boy stuff, but now I get to take out all my little patterns for little girls and start sewing! I guess I better stock up on purples, yellows, blues, and greens since my poor baby girl will be showered with pink by her aunts and grandmas :) Everyone is very happy, I don't think anyone cared either way, but the suspense was exciting! I think I'm still in shock LoL We will have a new baby girl in 5 months! It seems like so far away, but I know the time is just going to fly by!

*So you ended up being a little princess! You tricked mommy! We can't wait to meet you! Will you have blonde hair like daddy did or brown like mommy's? Straight or curly? Brown or green eyes??? I can't wait to see how beautiful you are going to be!!! Oh, and you will have a best friend from birth! Your aunt Retta and uncle Joey will be having a little girl just a few months before you are born! I hope the two of you will be very good friends and watch out for each other. Aunt Retta has a friend with a baby girl too named Zaelynn, so you will have a few friends from the start! You will have fun tubing in the summer with your new friends, too :) I can't wait to see you girls grow up!  

Oh and Daddy insists on decorating your room the same way he had planned for a boy LoL Mommy is trying to figure out how to girly it up for you or change Daddy's mind, but he is not giving up LoL So I hope you like your room! Daddy is taking over!!! We love you baby girl!!
