Lots and lots of stuff!

Our trip to El Paso last weekend was hectic as usual. I'm just glad we didn't have to drive. Flying is way easier :)  It was nice to spend time with my mom and sister the day before the shower, going out to lunch, shopping, and getting pedis together. The day of the shower everything was a mess, everything was running late as usual and I didn't get a chance to get ready until after my guests started arriving, but with the help of my sister, mom, dad, Tia Lola, and my wonderful husband we got everything together fairly quickly. After getting ready and grabbing a bite to eat, I felt a lot more relaxed so I was able to enjoy it. My mother-in-law made all the food, favors, and centerpieces and my sisters-in-law took care of the games. Cake, games, and gifts all went by rather quickly since it was starting to get cold outside. Although it was chaotic, it was nice to see all my close family and friends. I was extra excited to see my friend Jennifer Han! I missed her so much, I can't even remember the last time I saw her. She couldn't stay long, but I'm happy with the few minutes we had together. (*If we lived in El Paso Baby Girl, she would teach you how to kick butt! She's awesome! As a matter of fact, she's going to Mexico this week to fight, so we will pray for her safety and wish her luck!) We are very grateful and feel so blessed for all the gifts we received. My little girl won't need any clothes for her whole first year :) Gift cards and cash were very helpful! We bought her crib, mattress, and dresser with most of them. We still have some left! Glass bottles and cloth diapers made me happy. Her bassinet that my mother-in-law dressed up for her is beautiful and I can't wait to see my Baby Girl in it. She got her first piggy bank from cousin Savannah and Papa and Abuelito were the first ones to put some change in it :) This will go towards her first birthday present! Swing, socks, onesies, jammies, gloves, stockings, tights, shoes, diapers, wipees, and toys! Oh my!!! Not to mention the 40 outfits my sister got, too, plus the newborn outfits my friend's little girl outgrew. Yup, I think she will be good this year. Packing everything was a bit of a challenge. We did take extra suitcases just in case and Chris made EVERYTHING but the big stuff (4 items) fit! He stood there and rolled every piece of clothing and fit all her clothes into one suitcase! 35 pounds of it! Crazy if you think about how tiny baby clothes is :) It was a long day! I was ready for bed at 6:30 :) Long, long day, but very happy in the end. Thank you everybody!

* Oh my goodness Baby, you are going to look ridiculously adorable in all this clothes. Mommy is going to try her hardest to get you in all these outfits, so you may end up with 2 outfits a day LOL Everybody loves you so much and they are all very excited that you are coming. I can't wait to see you next Wednesday at your 3D appointment. Don't be shy :) Maybe we will get to see you smile. I love you little one and I love having you in my belly :) Feeling you move around has been the greatest joy I've ever experienced so far. I know seeing you for the first time on your birthday will surpass that and I can't wait! Daddy and I started painting your room. Since Daddy wants Super Mario, Mommy added glitter to your paint so it at least sparkles :) It looks awesome at night! We still have a lot more to paint though, I hope you love it! I love you Baby!

Love,
